For over a decade, S4Dr has been involved in research and development at different social, cultural, economic, peacebuilding and health promotion programs around the world.
We have been working with local and international NGOs, Government Agencies, Sport Associations and Ministries to develop local capacities, strategies and policies that result in relevant and meaningful development outcomes for communities.


Tuvalu, Kiribati & Tonga

In cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO), we conducted health-screenings and research around healthy lifestyle campaigns in the Pacific Islands of Tuvalu, Kiribati and Tonga.

Israel & Palestine

We have been partnering with Football for Peace (F4P) to investigate the experiences of participants, volunteer coaches and organisers around peacebuilding projects in Israel and Palestine.

Negev Desert

We have conducted research with Bedouin communities in ‘Unrecognised Villages’ in Israel’s Negev Desert, investigating the role sport may play for marginalised and politically oppressed groups.

Sri Lanka

S4D has been involved in program design, implementation and research activities at different sport-for-reconciliation projects between Sinhalese, Tamil and Muslim communities in Sri Lanka.

From 2014-2016, S4D will be engaged with research, monitoring and evaluation around the Australian National Rugby League’s “League Bilong Laif” campaign in Papua New Guinea.

In cooperation with Just Play, S4D has conducted research in Samoa, Vanuatu and the Cook Islands to improve the management of healthy lifestyle projects in a Pacific Island context.
