Sport4Development research (S4Dr) is an Australian-based organisation specialising in research, monitoring and evaluation of sport-based development projects. In all our activities, we are committed to making a sustainable difference. The number 4 symbolises our approach to working with our partners and defines our commitment to sport-for-development:
We are positive, passionate, professional and prepared!
Our positive approach combines research excellence with a passion for practical outcomes. Through proactivity and commitment, we develop professional solutions with lasting impact – and we are prepared for new and exiting projects! A key component of our work is the genuine desire to work with local and international partners, and to cooperate with professional, academic and community organisations to provide state-of-the-art skills and know-how. We pride ourselves on being open and flexible in our consulting approach which allows us to design and implement the most relevant and meaningful solutions to stated problems. At all projects, we are committed to engaging with our clients and listening to their input instead of imposing pre-defined solutions. Moreover, we committed to building local capacities through knowledge sharing and reciprocal learning.
S4Dr is headed by Dr Nico Schulenkorf, Senior Lecturer for Sport Management at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). His team is comprised of highly accomplished, experienced, and qualified professionals who personify the 4 Ps in all of their activities. Through our extensive network of experts in the areas of health, rehabilitation, community development as well as sport and event management, we are able to provide the right team of experts for each sport-for-development assignment.
